Registering a New Application

The next step is important since registering an application is the way in which you can extend the navigational menus. This will allow you to access not only the applications themselves but individual functions of those applications as well.

To register a new application:

  1. Using the horizontal navigation, select XBoost Administration > Application Registry

  2. Click “Register Application”.

  3. An interface is then loaded listing all of the fields for registered applications.

  4. Provide information for each of the fields.

  5. Click the “Save” icon.

  6. The application is now registered.

Application Property Definitions

Application Context Select from the list of registered contexts available on the XBoost server.

Application Name A descriptive name identifying the application

Application Group The initial group to which the application should belong

Application Path The relative install path for the application.

Application Language The language to which the application adheres in presentation.

Application StatusThe status of the application. Possible values are Enabled, Disabled.

Application Description A brief but well defined description of the application.

Select A Web Skin The initial web skin to be used for displaying the applications. Select the Domain Default web skin to have this application defer to the default web skin for the domain.
