Getting Started

To begin familiarizing yourself with XBoost, you will be required to log in using a username and password.

1. Access XBoost using your Browser by typing in the location.

Default browser locations:

http://servername/XBoost/index.jsp

**http://servername/XBoost/index.aspx**

Alternative installation locations:

Local computer: the common values for servername are localhost or 127.0.0.1.

Web server that uses a port other than port 80: enter the port name
after the servername separated by a colon. E.g.: http://servername:8080/XBoost/index.jsp

Remote computer: use the DNS name or IP address of the remote host to connect to XBoost. Once you have pointed your browser to XBoost, you should be prompted by XBoost to login as shown below.

Once you have pointed your browser to XBoost, the following screen should appear prompting you to enter your username and password.
To login to XBoost, enter your user name and password and click the “Click to Login” button.

• If you are logging into XBoost for the first time and have not been provided with a username and password by an Administrator, use the following:

User Name: XBoost Password: XBoost

SECURITY WARNING: It is highly recommended that you immediately change the password once you have logged into XBoost. If you are logging in as the Administrator, it is also recommended that you create your own username and password separate from that of the Administrator.
