Interface Layout & Organization

Once you have entered the correct user name and password, you will be presented a welcome page. The welcome page that comes bundled with XBoost includes links to additional documents and developer guides as well as links to Ivis Technologies’ online support services.

For ease of use, the XBoost Interface uses a high-level cascading menu. For security, the navigation component will provide links to only the applications for which the user has permission to use.

The XBoost menu system used in the default web skin is organized into sections also referred to as “Menu Groups”.

  1. Home

  2. Logoff

  3. XBoost Administration or XBoost Admin

  4. Applications

  5. Development

By default the “XBoost Administration” is the only section used initially within the cascading menu.

The “Applications” and “Development” menu groups are available for use when you begin registering new applications and functions. They are initially grayed out because the Application Registry does not by default contain any applications.
