Born from the problem we were trying to solve.
IVIS didn't start as a product company looking for a market. It started because our founders spent years inside the compliance and risk management world — at defense contractors, at technology companies, at organizations where regulatory requirements were a daily reality — and kept running into the same problem: the tools available were either too expensive, too complex, or too generic to actually help.
Enterprise GRC platforms cost six figures and took months to implement. Spreadsheets worked until they didn't. And consultants could tell you what was wrong, but couldn't give you a system to fix it and keep it fixed. So we built one.
Purpose-built for the defense industrial base.
While many GRC tools try to be everything to everyone, IVIS focuses on the organizations that make up the backbone of the defense supply chain: the small and mid-size contractors, subcontractors, and manufacturers who build the parts, write the software, and deliver the services that national defense depends on.
These organizations face the same compliance requirements as the large primes — CMMC, NIST 800-171, AS9100, ISO 9001 — but without the same budgets, staff, or institutional infrastructure. IVIS is built specifically for this reality. Every feature, every price point, and every design decision reflects the constraints and priorities of a 50-to-500 person organization competing for defense contracts.
